Cliffoney traffic, Grange footpaths
A traffic survey will be carried out in the coming weeks through Cliffoney village.
Councillor Marie Casserly asked the Council to apply to Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) for funding to install flashing school warning signs either side of the village.
Separately, the Council will carry out a review of the road markings through Grange village. Cllr Casserly called on the Council to apply for funding for improvement works to footpaths and road markings: “The footpath is very narrow from the school to Supervalu,” she said.
“There’s a pole in the middle of the footpath. You or someone with a buggy has to go out into the road to get past it. It’s very poorly designed. This is urgent,” she told the meeting.
