COMPETITIONS - The competition that took place over the Easter weekend was an 18 hole Shambles team event and was played as a fundraiser for the club. Results to follow next week. This Thursday, the 5th of April, is an important day in the golfing world with the US Masters teeing off in Augusta and the mens’ weekly Thursday competitions starting in Knockadoobrusna. For any member that wishes to sponsor one, please put your name on the sponsors list in the clubhouse. The competition for next Sunday the 8th of April sees a change from the fixture card in that it will be an 18 hole Stroke instead of a Stableford.

BALLYMOTE

THE Captain’s Drive In took place in the Ballymote Golf Club on Sunday 25th March when Eamon Scanlon the Club Captain got the season of to a fine style with a drive straight and true up the fairway to signal the start of the new season there followed a 3 person scramble and the winners were Trevor Mattimoe, Eoin Connolly and Breege Scanlon. Competition on Saturday/Sunday 7th/8th April is a 9 Hole Stableford FIXTURE card will be out next weekend 7th April the start of the 18 Hole Competitions will start on the weekend of 14th/15th April. Membership Fees are now due.
