WEDDING BELLS

Congratula­tions to Gerry Gilroy of Kilglass, on his marriage to Hannah Caves from Birmingham England. The wedding ceremony took place in the Church of the Holy Family Kilglass, on Friday, March 23, and the reception was held in the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone. We wish the couple a long and happy life together.

Queen Bee Amiee’s Social Dance in aid of Bumbleance children’s ambulance service. Bumbleance provides the highest standards in profession­al medical care, together with a top of the range entertainm­ent facility for seriously ill children who need regular transport to hospitals and hospices. Its aim is to provide the safest, most comfortabl­e, child-friendly trip imaginable. ENNISCRONE WALKING CLUB

The walk this Saturday, April 7, is the Ben Bulben Mountain. The level is hard and the terrain is hard Open Mountain and takes four to five hours.

BRIDGE CLUB

The Enniscrone Social Bridge club is held on Wednesdays at the Diamond Coast Hotel We had a draw this week and 42 members played.

ST JOSEPH’S NS, CULLEENS

Would like to congratula­te the winners of the Easter raffle, first prize was won by Muredach Hallinan, Culleens a large Easter hamper sponsored by Mary Scott, the Hilltop. Second prize winner was Colm Connolly, Culleens a €70 voucher for Queenans, Checkout, Enniscrone and third prize a wash and blow dry sponsered by Carmel was won by Francis Delf. Thanks to all who sponsored prizes and all who supported the fundraiser, €404 was raised. A tea party in aid of Trócaire held at St Joseph’s NS Culleens raised €165.35, Thank you and well done to everyone who attended and donated to this worthy cause.

Our intermedia­te team got their new season off to a positive start with a 5-17 to 0-8 win over St Farnan’s at Quigabar last Saturday evening in the Benson Cup. They commence their Division Two campaign next Friday evening at 6 p.m. when they play Easkey in Easkey. Please support.

The Enniscrone-KilglassEa­skey minor team suffered a disappoint­ing 3-14 to 0-6 defeat to Ballymote-Bunninadde­n on Sunday. They are scheduled to play St Molaise Gaels in Grange on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in the next round.

The Enniscrone-KilglassEa­skey under-16 team were beaten 5-5 to 3-7 by St Farnan’sSt Pat’s last Saturday morning. They play Shamrock Gaels on Tuesday evening in Coola.

Our under-12s put in an excellent effort to reach the final of the county Pella (indoor) competiton in Sligo last Friday. They got the better of south division winners Tubbercurr­y Cloonacool in their semi-final,
