Together for Yes event in Leitrim

LEITRIM Together For Yes will host a public information evening asking the question, ‘Why Repeal the 8th Amendment?’ at the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo on Wednesday 11th April at 7.30pm.

The evening will feature guest speakers, who will share their professional experiences on how the 8th Amendment has impacted on the health, safet y and wellbeing of women in Ireland.

Arlette Lyons, ( Termination For Medical Reasons) will al so share her personal stor y of travelling abroad to access abortion ser vices.

The event will be the of f icial l aunch of Leitrim Together For Yes, a volunteer-run group campaigning for the removal of the 8th Amendment from the Constitution in the upcoming referendum on 25th May.
