GAA camps a huge success

A large number of local children took part in recent Easter GAA camps that were held during their school holidays.

Liam Óg Gormley, Sligo GAA Coaching and Games officer said the camps were a huge success.

He said: “We had a fantastic three day Easter camp in Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence and then Summerhill College on the last day sponsored by Sligo Southern Hotel.

“Thank you to our county coaches Pat Kilcoyne, Ross Donovan, Benny Kenny, Ciaran O’Connor and our other coaches Liam Gaughan, Eamon Kilgannon, Ciaran O’Dowd, Rachel Hannon and Ciara O’ Connor for the superb work done with children. Thanks also to the support of clubs, parents and children who took part,” he added.
