THE intermediate footballers avenged their recent Benson Cup reversal at the hands of St Michael’s by overcoming the same opposition with a score line of 2- 14 to 0-7 at Pairc Ailbhe on Saturday evening last . The game featured an excellent performance from the returning Kenneth Sweeney as well as a promising debut performance from Eddie Farrell. Next up is a round 3 fixture against Calry next weekend. THE Easter Camp was a resounding success with over 50 youngsters from the parish participating. Many thanks to coordinator Teresa O Rourke, Ross Donovan and local coaches Conor Lavin, Kristie Cullen, Eddie Farrell and Gemma Brehoney. AFTER a great victory over Tourlestrane in the U-16 division 1 league Geevagh/ St Michaels travel to Kent Park to play St Mary’s on April 16th at 6.30pm in a fourth-round fixture. Best wishes to all involved. GEEVAGH/ St Michaels U-18 have a busy week ahead with league games at home against Calry on Monday and away to St John’s on Thursday at 6.30. Meanwhile the U-12 ‘s, following a good win against Calry await the visit of Shamrock Gaels in the next round. THE U-12 girls were beaten by Ballisadare on Thursday and are at home against Shamrock Gaels on Friday. THE Annual Dinner Dance takes place in Kilronan Castle on Friday 20th April. Tickets are available from members of the executive. Following a promising start to the season a great night is anticipated.
