Concerns over Gort na Sí footbridge project

SLIGO County Council will take charge of the Gort na Sí estate in Coolaney when works are completed shortly, according to Director of Planning, Community and Economic Development Dorothy Clarke.

Ms Clarke was responding to a query from Cllr Michael Clarke, who welcomed the news.

However, Cllr Dara Mulvey also reported “concerns” from residents within the estate about the footbridge. Director of Infrastructure, Environment and Fire Services Tom Kilfeather acknowledged the footbridge provided a “challenge” and was not a straight forward project.
