Photos wanted for new Sligo walking guide
A new and updated Sligo Walking Guide is being produced by Sligo County Council in conjunction with Sligo Walks. This handy, pocket sized free booklet has, over the years, provided locals and visitors alike with all kinds of information about walking in Sligo.
Newly revised and set to include new walks, Sligo Walks would like to invite members of the public to submit photos they would like considered for inclusion.
The best photos we receive will be included on the page describing the walk in question, and other photos may also be required.
We have built up a good library of images over the years, but we think it would be of interest to keen walkers and professional or amateur photographers to have their photos included.
So, if you fancy seeing your favourite scenic photo of a Sligo Walk feature in the updated Sligo Walking Guide – 50,000 copies of which will be distributed to the public – then email photos@sligowalks.ie.
File sizes should exceed 2mb to ensure picture quality, and we would ask those submitting photos to send us in a maximum of 2 photos per person.
The name of the photographer will be credited alongside the image in the walking guide. Deadline is Friday week, 27 th April.
