McSharry is named on national teams

THERE was more good news for Mona McSharry this week as she was named on two national teams for 2018 competitions.

Swim Ireland’s team for their premier benchmark meet of 2018, the LEN European Championships in Glasgow will be spearheaded by 2017 World University Games Champion Shane Ryan and 2017 World Junior Champion Mona McSharry.

Grange native McSharry has been named on the Irish team for the 2018 LEN European Championships (Glasgow, Scotland) Selections in August, along with the 2018 ISF World Schools Games Gymnasiade (Casablanca, Morocco) Selections in May.

McSharry was also on the receiving end of a nomination made to the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) to feature at the IOC World Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aries later this year.
