Dromahair Developmen­t Associatio­n/Tidy Towns are having their AGM in the Depot on Tuesday, April 24, at 8.30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come along. We are always looking for new members who are interested in working together for the good of our community.

NATIONAL SPRING CLEAN EVENT – Dromahair Developmen­t Associatio­n/Tidy Towns are having a Spring Clean of the village and surrounds on Saturday, April 21. Meeting at 10 a.m. outside the Depot. Life in the Spirit Seminars continue on Fridays at 8.30 p.m. in Clancy’s, Killeen, Dromahair. All Welcome.

WOMEN’S GROUP

Killenumme­ry Women’s Group are organising their annual day trip to Bloom on Friday, June 1, leaving Dromahair at 8 a.m. We will have breakfast in Feericks and plan to arrive at Phoenix Park at midday. We leave at 6 p.m. and are having an evening meal in the Landmark Hotel on way home. Total Cost: €70 all included. Still some places left: phone/text. We are hosting ‘Exercise with Sue’ on Thursday nights in Killenumme­ry Community hall at 7 p.m. Come along and go at your own pace.

CREATIVE WRITING CLASS

There is a creative writing class on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in Killenumme­ry hall. Ever wanted to write short stories, memories of childhood, anything imaginativ­e? LOUGH GILL PLAYERS

The Lough Gill Players will stage their play, ‘The importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde in the Blue Devon, Dromahair: Friday the 20th and Saturday, April 21, at 8.30 p.m. For a great nights entertainm­ent get out and support the group who put a lot of time and effort into their production. At the same time you’re contributi­ng to great local causes.

SENSORY ROOM

As part of Autism Awareness Month, staff in Mohill Library will host an Open Morning for its Sensory Room for parents/ guardians/carers next Wednesday, April 25, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The morning will begin with introducti­ons and refreshmen­ts at 10.30 a.m. For more informatio­n or to book your place please contact the library at 071 9631360. This is a free event and all are welcome.

THE DEPOT

Thanks to funding from ETB we are able to offer classes in the Depot as follows: Anyone interested in a craft class: needle work, knitting or crochet.

Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Depot; come along, bring needles and thread or wool. Only few classes left.

Gardening classes starting on Thursday, April 19, 10 a.m. to midday, it will consist of some tunnel work, visits to gardens and flower beds and getting ideas on what might work best in different locations and lots of tips and advice from Carol. Contact the Depot any morning to register interest.
