LOTTO DRAW

The Geevagh Community Resource lotto draw was held in Killoran’s Bar on Saturday, April 7, for a jackpot of €2,500. The numbers drawn were 9, 22, 23 and 29. There was no winner. The next draw for a jackpot of €2,600 will be held on Saturday, April 14, in Paddy’s Bar. The winners of the €20 prizes were Thomas and Darren Lavin, Creevagh; Charlene McCauley, Geevagh; Tina McDonagh, Ummeryroe; Terrie McDonagh, Annaghgowan and Seán Lavin, Ballyfarnon.

GLEANN ICA

Gleann ICA are having a series of talks and demonstrations on Beauty and Skin Care in Castle Dargan Hotel at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, and Tuesday, April 24, Admission is €5 and everybody is welcome.

100TH BIRTHDAY

Heartiest congratulations are extended to Mrs Rita Lavin, who celebrated her one hundredth birthday recently. In keeping with her strong Catholic faith, Fr Brian Conlon offered Mass in Thanksgiving for Rita’s long and fulfilling life. Afterwards the family celebrated with friends and neighbours.
