COFFEE AND TALK MORNING

Café Fia Co Op are having a coffee morning on the Sunday, April 22, between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Coolaney Community Centre. They are inviting everyone to come along for compliment­ary tea, coffee and Goodies while they bring everyone up to date on the latest progress. Café Fia will be a community Café with home backed, locally sourced produce. This morning will be an opportunit­y for the community to give ideas about how the Café will develop and how the space can be best utilised along with being a Café. Your ideas will be welcomed on the day and a large turnout is hoped for. So clear your diaries and come along.

GAA CLUB NEWS

Coolaney-Mullinabre­ena GAA Club training continues every Saturday morning. Training has now started back on the pitch in Coolaney and starts at 10 a.m. As this is the start of training outside for the season, please make sure kids are dressed warm enough. For the under-sixes, please ensure at least one parent or guardian remains for the duration the session. Remember Water and Gum Shields. €2 per child/max €4 per family.

TRACTOR RUN

A charity tractor, motorbike and vintage car run will take place on Sunday, May 20, at 2 p.m. leaving from the Mountain Inn. All proceeds in aid of Crumlins Children’s Hospital and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Women’s Group

The Coolaney Women’s group meets every Thursday morning from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in the Coolaney Community Centre. The group is open to women of all ages and they are currently looking for new members. The group consists of activities, occasional days out and at times, profession­al people give talks and classes.

FORÓIGE CLUB

The Foróige Club continues each Friday evening at Coolaney Community Centre between 7.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. It is open to all youths aged 13 to 18 years. We are also currently seeker volunteer leaders. For more informatio­n contact Mark at 086 0740841 or Brendan 087 3964541.
