Caught drunk driving twice in three days

A driver arrested twice for drunk driving in three days has been fined €400 and banned from driving for four years.

Before Sligo District Court last Thursday was Sharon Duffy (44) of Sleepyholl­ow, Rivestown who admitted driving while over the limit at Riverstown on November 17 th 2016 and also on November 14 th.

The readings were 61mgs of alcohol per 100ml of breath and 57mgs of alcohol per 100mls of breath.

Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor (defending) said the defendant was a totally different person now.

The married mother of two has come to terms with her difficulti­es and has had in-house treatment. She did not have any previous conviction­s.
