Boy alleged to have set road alight with petrol
A 17 year old boy has been sent forward for trial to the next sittings of the Circuit Court on a charge of pouring petrol across a road and setting it alight.
The boy is charged with intentionally or recklessly engaging in conduct which created a substantial risk of death or serious harm to another at Mullaghmore by pouring petrol across the public road and proceeding to light it with a flare.
The defendant, who was represented by Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor, was sent for trial by Judge Kevin Kilrane to the next sittings of the Circuit Court in Sligo on May 29 th after the book of evidence was served on him.
The boy, who will turn 18 in May, was remanded on bail by Judge Kilrane.
