Sligo jail to feature at fair

SLIGO Antiques Collectables and Vintage Fair which takes place on Sunday 29 th April at the Clayton Hotel will feature an exhibition by The Friends of Sligo Gaol to mark the bicentenary of Sligo Gaol 1818 to 2018.

The Friends of Sligo Gaol will be available throughout the day, not only to outline their future projects but also to welcome any information that the visiting public may have to offer in respect of the jail itself, its past inmates or employees.

They encourage visitors to bring photos, memorabilia or artefacts relating to the jail to the Fair on Sunday.

With more than 25 dealers participating this promises to be the largest Sligo Fair to date.

Items on sale will include fine and costume jewellery, furniture, objets d’art, porcelain and pottery, glassware, silver and metal ware, Irish and other art, clocks and watches, books, hand made rugs, coins, medals, militaria, postcards, film posters, ephemera, other collectables and so much more.
