SPRING CLEAN THANKS

Carraroe and District Regeneration Association (Cadra) wish to say many thanks to everyone who turned out Saturday to assist with our annual spring clean.

We were delighted to see the great community response with all areas receiving a good cleanup. Mullane Plant Hire swept all the roads around Carraroe on Saturday morning and its support is much appreciated by the community of Carraroe. We also thank the people who could not attend on day but went out Friday evening and picked roads and left bags at community centre.

We wish to record our appreciation to Community Field Committee for facilitating our requirement to move the meeting point from the community centre. Special thanks to Owen McLean Colm Nevin and Noel Merrick, who travelled around all roads of our area including Ballindrehid Bridge, Pearse Road, Ballyfree, Holywell, Cairns Hill to collect the full litter bags etc for storage over weekend.

Our regular weekly litter pickers are now undertaking picks on roads around our area. We are always looking for more volunteers to take an area/road and undertake a litter pick weekly at time that suits you. Pickers Bags Gloves Hi Viz will be supplied and all we ask is that you leave the bag at community centre collection point on Monday evening or early Tuesday morning for removal.
