TEXT ALERT
Carrentubber/Cloonacool Text Alert are holding a registration night in Cloonacool Community Centre on Wednesday, May 2, at 8 p.m. Registration fee is €20 (which will cover set up cost and maintenance for approximately two years).
The first meeting was held on Tuesday, April 10. This meeting was very well attended and people expressed great interest in setting up the Text Alert Group. A committee was appointed, and the members are John McIntyre, chairperson (087 2864380), Michael Armstrong, Vice-chairperson (086 8185393), Mary Dunne, treasurer (087 0916999), Tom McGowan, Community Co-ordinator (087 6202270), Martin Gavigan, secretary (086 3885907).
Everyone is very welcome, and your support will, as always, be greatly appreciated.
GALLAGHER HOUSE 8K
Our annual 8km run, jog/ walk in aid of Gallagher House Services, Tubbercurry, will take place from Kilmactigue Community Centre (beside playground) on Thursday, April 26, at 7 p.m. Registration will be from 6 p.m. on the day or pre – registration can be made before 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at 071 9120624 or by calling into Gallagher House Garden Centre. Clock timing on the day. There will be prizes for first, second and third male and female. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the community centre. Cost per adult is €10. Everyone is welcome and your support will, as always, be greatly appreciated.
COMMUNITY PARK DRAW
The Community Park lotto draw for March took place in Brennan’s recently. The lotto jackpot of €1,600 was not won. The numbers drawn were 12, 16, 17 and 24. There were no matchthree winners, two tickets were drawn and €100 each went to Kate and Anna Taaffe, and John and Therese Hunt. Next month’s jackpot will be €1,700, many thanks for your continued and generous support.

FAMILY FUN DAY
To celebrate the May bank holiday weekend families are encouraged to come to a family fun day on Sunday, May 6, at Moylough Arts and Heritage Centre from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Highlights will include Die cast Model Farms which displays farm machinery working models to interest young and old alike.
There will be a bouncing castle, tractor balancing, face painting, music, novelty events, barbecue and prominent visitors Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Admission: adults €10, children free. This event is supported by Sligo Co. Council Community and voluntary grants scheme.
