Students showcase talents for a good cause
TRANSITION Year and fifth year students of a number of Sligo schools joined forces with Sligo Social Services for a fashion show with a difference.
Students from the Mercy College, Ursuline College and Jesus & Mary College in Enniscrone created a unique
clothing collection using only upcycled clothes that have been donated to Sligo Social Services.
Local businesses were also involved in the event, helping with the judging process. In addition to raising funds for the vital work of Sligo Social Service the event
served as an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits to our environment of recycling and upcycling - showcasing the creative talents of students in the local community and engaging them in active citizenship in the process.
