A show especially for babies is coming to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Sunday the 29 April. Replay Theatre’s Baby Daddy has been created for a very young audience - specifical­ly babies aged between six and eighteen months and their grown-ups. Due to the restricted size of each audience, there is limited places available for this show so early booking is advised for this event.

NORAH

Poetry Day takes place this Thursday (April 26th). To mark the event, the Yeats Society will welcome Rita Ann Higgins, a poet who hails from Galway and who has an enormous body of work to her credit – her poetry has been published by both Bloodaxe Books and Salmon Poetry. Tickets are €10 which includes a glass of wine.

A major new play by Gerard Humphreys opens at The Dock. Directed by Anthony Fox and with a cast of 6 exceptiona­l actors Norah comes to The Dock on Thursday 26th April as part of a national tour. Produced The New Theatre in associatio­n with The Dock and Pavillion Theatre Norah is set in 1981 Belfast where Norah McVeigh is battling to save her brother Kyran.

MY LEFT NUT

My Left Nut is the true story of a Belfast boy growing up with no father to guide him through, and a giant ball to weigh him down. This one-hour play comes to the Hawk’s Well on Thursday 26th of April at 12.45pm as lunch time theatre with lunch for €5 available from 12.15pm. Tickets to see My Left Nut on Thursday 26th of April at 12.45pm are €12 with a €6 concession for under 18s. Lunch €5 is available from 12.15pm.

KIERAN QUINN THEME NIGHT

‘Old Haunts’, an exhibition by artist Michael Wann, opens at the Hyde Bridge Gallery today (April 24th). The exhibition has been commission­ed by Sligo County Council Arts Service for the Bealtaine Festival Sligo, with funding from Sligo County Council, HSE West and the Arts Council of Ireland.
