Public info sessions on Peace IV grants
AN EU Peace fund designed to build bridges between Catholics and Protestants has opened up to the public for applications.
The Small Grants Fund has a budget of ¤160,000 for Sligo projects.
Projects and initiatives promoting conflict resolution, sport, arts, culture and environmental programmes will be considered by the PEACE IV Small Grants Fund.
Information sessions are taking place in Sligo and Tubbercurry this Wednesday May 2nd at 12.30pm in the Northside Community Centre and at 7pm in Teach Laighne, Tubbercurry.
The aim is to support community led peace building initiatives throughout Sligo.
Funding is available at a rate of 100% and will range from a minimum of ¤7,500 to a maximum of ¤40,000.
Key target groups include victims of the conflict in Northern Ireland, displace people, people excluded or marginalised from society, young people, women, older people and minority communities, ex-prisoners and their families, former members of the security and ancillary services.
