MODEL FARMS EXPO

A unique exhibition of diecast model farm machinery will be on view at Moylough Arts and Heritage Cenre during family fun day Sunday, May 6, at 1 p.m., which will be a major attraction for all age groups. For all tractor drivers the title the best driver of Moylough will be decided in a tractor balancing contest.

There will be face and nail painting and a bouncing castle to keep children entertaine­d plus novelty events. Valuable prizes will be raffled during the day plus live music entertainm­ent catering for all tastes. Home made burgers will be available to barbecue. Families are invited to come along to enjoy all events for a great day out on the grounds of the arts and Heritage Centre adjacent to St Patrick’s church Moylough.

ARTS/HERITAGE CENTRE

Card games continue every Wed night at 8.30 p.m., last week’s winners were James Reidy six games, runners-up Paul Flannery and John Browne, raffle winners Mary Lee, Michael Fleming and John Brennan.

Sligo Friendly Call Service office is based at Moylough Arts and Heritage Centre. Calls are made from there weekly, by trained volunteers, this is a free and confidenti­al service. May 4, at 4 p.m. The cyclists will meet with the family of Doreen Conlon (Hegarty), of Roscommon and Ballymeene­y, who died suddenly before Christmas. Doreen was a volunteer with the group for many years. Your support will be appreciate­d.

FUN QUIZ

Kilglass/Culleens Community Alert group will hold a fun quiz in Sheridan’s Bar on Friday, May 4, in aid of the local community alert initiative. The quiz starts at 9 p.m. and will include a raffle.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to the Easkey under-10 and under-16 Draught teams who represente­d Sligo at the Connacht final on Saturday, April 21in Ballinamor­e Co. Leitrim. Both teams won silver medals. The under-10 team were Harry Lavelle, Conor Colleary, Anna Feeney, Cuisle Gannon, Meadbh Murray, Emily McGuire and Alfie Lavelle. Under-16 team Keith Weir, Adam Taylor, Thomas Wall, Ellen Feeney, Ellen McGuire. Their coach is Mary McHugh and Tara Murray.

EOGHAN RUA LADIES

The Eoghan Rua senior ladies’ football team had a good start to the division one league competitio­n when they defeated St Mary’s in Quigabar on a score line of 5-13 to 5-7 on Sunday last.

The Mobile Heart Unit is coming to the Family Resource Centre, Enniscrone on Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A free heart check is available to all people in the area.

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on April 20.
