Ballymote bus for Gurteen country music festival

A bus will be running from Ballymote and surroundin­g areas bringing people to Gurteen for the ‘My Old Hometown Gurteen’ country music festival.

The bus will run from this Thursday, May 3rd until Sunday May 6 th.

Michael McDonald performs on Friday night followed by Jimmy Buckley.

On Saturday, from 4-6pm there will be dancing for the whole family with Jason Moyles with Mary Rose and Enda taking to the stage at 9pm, followed by Gerry Guthrie and his band.

On Sunday from 4-6pm there will be dancing to Olivia Douglas with Maureen O’Dowd taking the stage at 9pm.

Gurteen native Patrick Feeney and his band will follow.

Nightly admission to the festival is €15, with weekend passes costing €55.

Entry to afternoon dances for children will cost €5 and €8 for adults.

Tickets can be purchased at The Crossbar, Teach Murray or Centra Gurteen to guarantee entry.

Tickets can also be found in Cawley’s Hotel Tubbercurr­y and Henry’s Gala Store in Ballymote.

This is the first year of the music festival in Gurteen and it is guaranteed to be a great weekend with tickets selling extremely well.

The festival will take place in the marquee which has been erected in the car park of Teach Murray, Gurteen.
