TV star Calum Best was in Quayside Shopping Centre on Saturday to promote his new ‘Best Me’ Journal.

The son of footballin­g legend George Best was welcomed to Sligo by Cara Pharmacy owner and Dragon’s Den judge Ramona Nicholas and staff.

Best signed copies of his new journal and chatted to fans in Quayside Shopping Centre at 3pm on Saturday.

Best spent the weekend in Ireland and engaged in a ‘Meet and Greet’ with fans at Cara Pharmacies in Sligo, Bundoran, Galway and Enniskille­n on Saturday and Sunday.

The reality TV star also sent good wishes to former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson who took ill with a brain haemorrhag­e over the weekend.

The 37-year-old is climbing the highest peak in the Alps in aid of the National Associatio­n for Children of Alcoholics (Nacoa), an organisati­on that offers advice and support to children of alcohol-dependent parents.
