SELF-CARE WORKSHOP

Join Ted Kelly for a one-day self-care workshop in the Benwiskin Centre on Saturday, May 26. Open to everyone. We will enjoy a mindful day of relaxation and gentle guided meditation­s. BENWISKIN CENTRE

Extended classes at the Benwiskin Centre – Circuit training, exercise for seniors and step aerobic classes are continuing at the centre for another few weeks. Spaces available. Further details available on our website at benwiskinc­entre.com Pay as you go option available for these classes.

EXERCISE FOR SENIORS

Join new exercise classes for seniors with Angel Fitness every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Grange Foróige Club. PAYG €7 or six weeks for €36. Call Angelika at 085 7524559.

SUMMER CAMPS

Camp 1–Arts and Craft Summer Camp for 6–12yr olds–this Camp will run from Monday, 9th July to Wednesday, 11th July 2018 from 10am–2pm daily. Camp 2–Music Camp for 7–12yr olds–this Camp will run from Monday, 16th July to Friday, 20th July 2018 from 10am–12pm daily.

The children will be exploring beats, playing and creating their own music. They will also experience performing, song-writing, increasing their music skills in a fun and relaxed environmen­t. SUMMER SOCIAL

Ballintril­lick Environmen­tal Group are holding their annual social at the Benwiskin Centre on Friday, June 8. Dancing will commence at the slightly earlier time of 10 p.m. Admission €7. Supper will be served. Music by the Lakelander­s.

BAT NIGHT

Seán Meehan of Irish Wildlife Trust will be giving a presentati­on about bats commencing with a ‘talk’ at the Benwiskin Centre at 9.30 p.m. followed by a ‘walk’ in the Ballintril­lick area (possibly the Gleniff Barytes Millsite) on Sunday, June 10, ending around 11.30 p.m. This is a free event and is limited to 35 attendees and may not be suitable for very young children. COMMUNITY GARDEN

This course will run Mondays 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. till Sept/ October 2018. If you would like to learn more about growing your own food using organic principles, this course may suit you.
