TIDY TOWNS

Riverstown Tidy Towns will be holding a Community Litter Pick on Sunday, May 13. Residents are asked to meet in Riverstown Community Park at 5pm. Please wear a high vis vest and bring your own gloves. Bags will be provided. Thank you for your support.

ROWING CLUB

Lough Arrow Rowing Club will be holding an open meeting in Des McDonagh’s Lounge on Thursday, May 10 at 9pm to establish level of interest in reviving Rowing in the area. Please come if you would like to join up and give rowing try.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Riverstown Comhaltas are holding a Rambling House in the Morrison Teach Ceoil, Riverstown on Saturday, May 12 at 9.30pm. Musicians, Singers and Dancers welcome. Refreshments will be served. Admission €10 Enquiries to Padraig Kerins 087 6707329.

CANCER COLLECTION

A Church Gate Collection in aid of Cancer Care West will take place in local churches on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Support would be appreciated.

SEAN NÓS DANCING

Classes for children wishing to learn Sean Nós dancing with Eimear Mulvey are taking place in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown every Sunday. Beginners 11.30am to 12pm, Intermediate 12 to 12.30pm. New comers are always welcomed. For more information call 086 2584465.

FLEADH CHEOIL SHLIGIGH

As part of the programme of events for Fleadh Cheoil Shlighigh there will be a Flag Day on Saturday, May 19 from 9am. The opening concert will take place on Saturday, May 26 in Gillooly Hall. This will be followed on Sunday, May 27 by Aifreann na Fleidhe in the cathedral. Events will continue into June.
