SPRING CLEAN

A sincere ‘ thank you’ to all who assisted, in any way, with the annual ‘clean-up’ of the Newtownmanor Area, on Saturday, April 21. Especial thanks to the pupils and their parents, from Leckaun National School, who turned out in numbers to be of assistance and to Mr Gerard Reilly (principal of Leckaun NS) for promoting the exercise to his pupils.

A total of 22 bags of rubbish was collected from around the area’s roadside verges and delivered to the ‘ recycling centre’ in Manorhamilton for appropriate disposal. Thanks is due to An Taisce for the provision of the necessary ‘kit’ to do the job and to Leitrim County Council for access to the facility in Manorhamilton.
