TWO couples gave undertakings before Judge Kevin Kilrane to keep the peace following an incident near a supermarket.

Before the Court were Michael and Nora Sweeney of 38 Old Bundoran Road and John Sweeney and Kerinza Scanlon of 63 Garavogue Villas who were summoned for engaging in threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour at Dunnes Stores, Cranmore Road on March 22nd 2017. Garda Denis Fitzgerald had gone to the store at 11.03am where he saw the defendants engage in behaviour likely to provoke a breach of the peace. Two of the defendants’ daughters were engaged in an altercation and Gardaí had to separate them.

The defendants were all told to leave the area.

Judge Kevin Kilrane remanded the defendants on continuing bail of €300 each to appear at Sligo District Court on November 29 th next.

They were told to keep the peace and be of good behaviour during that time. Liberty was granted to the Gardaí to re-enter the matter.
