Driver is banned for 11 months

FOR not having insurance at Carricknagat, Collooney on May 26 th last, Fenella Egan, Top Road, Strandhill was fined €100 and banned from driving for 11 months at Sligo District Court.

Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor (defending), said the defendant was driving her partner’s car but wasn’t a named driver on the policy.

At the same court, Michael Christopher Quigley, 22 Ross Road, Riverstown was fined €300 for not having tax on his car at Tubberbride on April 16 th 2017. The car had been out of tax since May 31st 2016.

Also at Sligo court, Stephen Quigley (19), 22 Ross Road, Riverstown was fined €200 for not having insurance at Carrickcoola on July 28th 2017. He was a named driver on his brother’s policy now said Mr Mark Mullaney, solicitor (defending).
