ing a good James Clarke effort to trail by one at the break, 1-5 to 1-4.

After the restart, St Patrick’s continued to dominate and entered into a 1-9 to 1-6 lead with points from Pierce Kearins and David Giblin helping the home side gain control.

Struggling in most sectors, Enniscrone/Kilglass looked in trouble but managed to salvage the situation with a strong finish.

An excellent Kevin Cawley run ended in Tom Mahon being hauled down in the big square and Shane Hargadon dispatched the resultant penalty well to get his team back on level terms, 1-9 to 2-6.

A point from Michael Moyles followed to put the visitors in front, and then another goal from the boot of Tom Mahon gave them a four-point cushion.

Ciaran O’Dowd then kicked an excellent point to edge Enniscrone/Kilglass into a 3-8 to 1-9 lead.

St Patrick’s battled hard but time was against them and despite two late points, it was Enniscrone/ Kilglass who ended as winners.

St Patrick’s are travelling to play St John’s on Saturday while Enniscrone/Kilglass welcome neighbours Castleconnor to Quigabar. Both games are at 7pm.
