CORDNERS Shoes will today officially open the new sensory room which aims to cater for children and adults with ‘different aspects of special needs’.
The new sensory room is the first of its kind in Ireland. It is a specially designed room which comprises of a range of stimuli to help set the tone for a more calming shoe fitting experience. These include adjustable lights, colours, different textures, sounds, an aquatic bubble tube and sensory play objects all within a safe environment that allows the individual using it to explore and interact without risk.
This room is tailored to be a soothing place away from the activity of a busy shop.
Cordners will provide a professional fitting service with a variety of shoes in different sizes and widths.
