ENNISCRONE­KILGLASS GAA

Our intermedia­te team was fortunate to come away from Dromard with two league points last Saturday evening after they finished strongly to beat St Pat’s 3-8 to 1-11 in round five of the Division Two league campaign. Leading 1-5 to 1-4 at the break, our lads trailed heading into the final five minutes before goals from Shane Hargadon and Tom Mahon put us in front, finishing as three-point winners. Next Saturday evening at 7 p.m., Castleconn­or are the visitors to Quigabar. Please support.

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor team plays Owenmore Gaels in Quigabar on Friday evening at 7 p.m.

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/ Easkey under-16 team play Castleconn­or on Monday evening (May 14) at 7 p.m. in Quigabar.

Our under-14s put in a decent display but lost to St John’s in a competitiv­e Division Two fixture last Thursday, 2-9 to 2-7. They have a break in competitiv­e action this week.

Our under-12s host St Farnan’s on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

COUNTY SCENE: Commiserat­ions to the Sligo minors on their loss to Galway their first round Connacht MFC match last Friday. Our own Gavin Duffy started at full forward while Adam Mullaney and Dara Rouse were among the substitute­s.

The team is managed by Michael Duffy. They return to action in six weeks’ time for the second round.

BEREAVEMEN­T SUPPORT

A women’s Bereavemen­t Support Group will be held in the West Sligo Family Resource Centre on June 6 from7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is a sensitive and confidenti­al group.’ There are three needs of the griever: To find the words for the loss, to say the words aloud and to know that the words have been heard’ Victoria Alexander.

WALKING CLUB

The walk this Saturday, May 26, is Union Wood. The level is easy, the terrain is forest trail and the length is 14km.

There was no winner of the jackpot €5,200 when the draw took place in on Saturday last. Numbers drawn were 18, 37 and 38. Winners of €25 each were: Ray Cudworth, RM Crow, Alan Wall and Mark Kavanagh. Jackpot of €5,400 for next draw on Saturday, May 26, in Gilroy’s Bar.
