County Fleadh returns to Sligo town for second year running
THE long weekend in June sees the County Fleadh return to Sligo town for the second consecutive year. Prepare to see a frenzy of competitions scurrying here there and everywhere carrying instruments of all sorts.
This evening ( Tuesday) sees a night of Ceoil, Caint & Craic at St. Mary’s GAA Centre, Maugheraboy.
There will be a Trad. Session in the Glasshouse Hotel on Friday 1 st at 9pm.
Competitions and Events commense on Sarurday 2nd June at 10am in Mercy College, Chapel Hill, Sligo followed by a Céilí in the Southern Hotel that night at 9.30pm.
Sunday June 3 rd there will be dancing & group competitions at 11am in the Mercy College followed by Street Entertainment Traditional Sessions in the town over the weekend.
This promises to be a fun filled weekend with visiting musicians from all over the Country. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the music and craic associated with the County Fleadh.
