Martina Hamilton launches a new collection ahead of Bloom

-

AWARD-WINNING goldsmith Martina Hamilton has launched a new collection which she will showcase at Bloom 2018 at the Phoenix Park this weekend. There are five new items in the Leaf Collection, which feature freshwater cultured pearls and are available in both sterling silver and gold.

They include two different pairs of earrings, pearl pendants and the extremely popular leaf and pearl bracelet. Martina Hamilton has been designing distinct jewellery collec- tions for more than 30 years in her studio in Sligo.

Working exclusively with hallmarked silver and gold, her award-winning designs are inspired by the ever-changing Atlantic coastal landscape and all her pieces are handmade in Ireland by studio craft makers.

She is one of the designers featured at 25 outdoor stands – Stand 7 – at the Irish Craft Village at Bloom 2018.

Visitors to Bloom will be able to meet Martina in person and discuss her work, which is all designed and made in the North West of Ireland.

One of Ireland’s leading garden designers and former Super Garden judge Leonie Cornelius, who is brand ambassador for Martina Hamilton jewellery, will be also popping in and out of Martina’s stand over the weekend.

Martina Hamilton says: “We are delighted to be back at Bloom again and in the Irish Craft Village, with so many fantastic Irish designers.

“We were surprised and delighted with the interest at Bloom last year for our jewellery commission service. Spending time designing wedding rings and engagement rings in the sunshine was a real treat.

“My designs are inspired by the rugged, Atlantic coastal landscape and the remote wilderness of Sligo’s breath-taking shore line, so it’s a real pleasure bringing my west of Ireland contemporary design spirit right into the heart of Dublin.”
