Dorrins Strand inspection
ENGINEERS from the Council are making final inspections of the drainage at Dorrins Strand housing estate in Strandhill before they agree to take it in charge.
Councillor Chris MacManus asked for an update on the taking in charge of Dorrins Strand at the meeting
He pointed out that the Council sought tenders as far back as June 2017 to carry out repairs to the roads and services.
This was done with a view to having the estate taken in charge by the Council at the end of 2017.
Head of Planning Frank Moylan said the outstanding issue remaining before the Council will take Dorrins Strand in charge is the infiltration of storm water/ surface water into the foul sewer network.
Engineers were to investigate this last week.
“I have to wait for the engineers to come back to me with a report on what the problem is,” he said.
