Drivers fined for no insurance
FOR not having insurance at Finisklin Road on October 17 th last, Richard Loughman of 29 Rosewood Court was fined €200.
He was also fined €100 for failing to produce an NCT certificate for the car. Ms Valerie Kearins, solicitor (defending) pleaded that the defendant got a call from his wife who had a severe diabetes attack at work. He hadn’t said this to the Garda when he was stopped.
The car didn’t have insurance but the defendant normally drove a company van which he was covered on, pleaded Ms Kearins.
At the same Court, Mark Beirne 18 Temple Manor, Ballinacarrow was fined €400 for not having insurance at Cranmore Road on September 9 th 2017.
He was also fined €100 for not having tax displayed and €200 for not having a licence.
