Anglers urged to pay attention to water after vitus outbreak
Due to the serious virus outbreak on certain carp waters within Irish shores, the Irish Angling Developing Alliance, as an organisation are asking all anglers and affiliate clubs to pay very special attention to disinfection on all waters. Ballymote and district CAC have been in contact with the organisation and are currently making urgent arrangement for collection of a dip station and Virkon Aquatic for mandatory use on their Carp lake at Ballymote.
Any other clubs in urgent need of help in this regard should get in contact with us in the coming days when we will try to assist if at all possible in this area of disinection. Separately all anglers should ensure that equipment nets and clothing are air dry post disinfection and before use.
