Congratulations and well done to Aaron Killoran, who has qualified for the third time to compete in the Dublin Horse Show. He qualified in Gorey with his pony Fly Over Girl. He is wished the best of luck in Dublin.
DIED IN FIJI
The death took place recently in Fiji of Sister May Christopher Sweeney. Aged 96 she was a Marist Nun for 70 years. She was an aunt of Margaret Curley. Sympathy is extended to Margaret, Pat and the Curley family.
BACK TO EDUCATION
There is a workshop for adults considering a return to education in North Connacht College, Tubbercurry from this Tuesday, May 29, to Thursday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Contact the college at 071 9185035 for further information and to enrol. 7.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. It is open to all youths aged 13 to 18 years. WOMEN’S GROUP
The Coolaney Women’s group meets every Thursday morning from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in the Coolaney Community Centre. The group is open to women of all ages and they are currently looking for new members. The group consists of activities, occasional days out and at times, professional people give talks and classes.
WALKING GROUP
The walking group meets every Tuesday and Friday at the Mill Pharmacy carpark at 8.30 p.m. New members welcome. Just come along on the night.
