Was going to chemist when parked illegally on street

A woman told Judge Kevin Kilrane her child was ill and she needed to get to the chemist when she parked on a double yellow line on Wine Street, Sligo on March 6 th 2017. Helen Teresa Ward of 13 Kilcruttin Halting Site, Tullamore, Co Offaly was fined €100. Also at Sligo District Court, Thomas O’Connor, Killaraght, Boyle, Co Roscommon was fined €80 for a speed of 137km/h in a 100km/h zone at Whitehill, Castlebaldwin on October 19 th 2016. Clive Somers of Caltragh Crescent, Sligo was fined €200 for driving without a driver’s licence. Judge Kevin Kilrane struck out charges for no insurance and no NCT as Inspector Kilcoyne said he was covered.
