Cake with Mr Yeats - and Ms Yeats

Our annual Cake with Mr Yeats event will take place outside Hargadons on O’Connell Street at 1.30. Mr Yeats is played by street performer extraordinaire Cillian Rogers and the performance and the construction of the puppet is kindly sponsored by Eileen Monahan. The great Yeats cake is sponsored by Sligo’s own bakers – O’Hehirs Bakery – designed, made and baked here in Sligo. WB Yeats granddaughter Caitriona Yeats will be with us to blow out the candles. And, never fear, poetry will be read in the 150- year-old Hargadons Pub from noon. And they serve great food too.
