Glasshouse to sponsor Ladies’ Day at Sligo Races
THE Glasshouse Hotel will be the main sponsors of Ladies’ Day at Sligo Races which takes place on Thursday, August 9th.
Speaking during the pre-Ladies’ Day Fashion Show recently, Kathryn Foley, Manager of County Sligo Races said: “Traditionally Ladies Day at Sligo Races is a fantastic event, attracting very large attendances and the style gets better yearly.
“This year we are delighted to welcome The Glasshouse Hotel on board as our new sponsor. It’s an exciting new sponsorship and we look forward to August 9th and a wonderful competition.
“Marietta Doran the resident fashion presenter on TV 3’s Ireland AM, will be the judge on the day.
Ladies’ Day has become one of the leading social events in the county and it is fitting that the Glasshouse Hotel should be part of this massive event.”
She continued: “The packed house in the Glasshouse Hotel on the night of the Fashion Show was testament of the extraordinary interest in Ladies Fashion as local Fashion Houses showcased their latest collections.
“Marietta Doran compéred the show and her dynamic and inspirational presentation set the stage from the outset.
“The professional models from Catwalk Model Agency did the “Racing Look” designs justice as they displayed clothing from Kathleen Fashions, Choice, The Italian Wardrobe, Style Emporium and Marian’s of Boyle. Each outfit was coupled with award winning millinery from the collections of WithNora Designs by Marina Scally, Millinery by Mairead, Rachel Feeley, Caitriona King Millinery, Michelle Kearns, Laura Hanlon, Bronagh Marron and The Seasons Hats.
“Three fashion designers, EmMarie by Emma Curtis and Vivienne O’Connor along with Catriona Hanly closed the show with a stunning cat walk collection of day and evening wear coupled with head turning millinery by Paul Stafford.”
The day is fast approaching and organisers are willing attendees to get their outfits prepared. The winner will receive a cash prize along with a bespoke designer dress by Vivienne O’Connor, a full jewellery set by Newbridge Silverware and much more. The nine runners up will walk away with a fabulous goodie bag by Voya Seaweed Baths and a pendant by Newbridge Silverware. It’s always a day full of fashion and fun and is one not to be missed.
