IT’S Father’s Day this Sunday – time to treat Daddy for all he does for the family all year!

Hard-working Dads are (officially) allowed to indulge their inner-child on this one day of the year (one day only mind you) so make the most of it!

Think of what you know they love to spend time doing when considering your treat. It might be a ticket to their favourite football team’s next match, an afternoon pottering about a garden centre, galloping through the woods on a healthy forest walk with the kids or a hike up Knocknarea.

You could do worse than starting the day with breakfast in bed a cup of steaming coffee, croissants, Sunday papers – then why not make the day easy for everyone and treat the family to Sunday lunch in any of the great Sligo eateries offering Father’s Day specials.

Take the short trip to Carrick-on-Shannon and visit the Landmark Hotel. There you can treat your dad to a special Sunday Lunch in the exquisite surroundings of their beautiful restaurant. You can also avail of the wonderful views of the Shannon River and sit and relax and watch the boats go by.
