Fifth underage title for Ballisodare Utd

IT has been a phenomenal season for Ballisodare United and the success continued recently when the club’s U13s became Shield Champions.
They defeated Carrick Town 4-1 in the Cup final. Hero of the U14 League Final Dillon Walsh scored a fantastic first half hatrick put Ballisodare 3-0 at the interval.
Early into the second half Dillon set up Keith Cotter who finished well. Carrick scored a screamer from 30 yards late on to leave the final score 4-1 Ballisodare.
The final whistle blew on the game and the Ballisodare United season with U13s as Shield Champions to go along with their Cup winners trophies in U14s, U16s, U17s and U18s. Congratulations to all the players and managers Enda McGowan and Anthony Sweeney. There was more good news for Ballisodare United with the announcement that the club has been granted Planning Permission at Young’s Quarry, Ballisodare for a full size state of the art astro turf pitch and associated floodlights, fencing, dugouts and perimeter walking track.
