The popular Strandhill Show is taking place on Sunday in Lisheen with an array of crafts, food, entertainment and kids activities. It’s a brilliant day out for all the family. With delicious food, excellent music, flower show and dog show among the highlights. The Rescue Helicopter will also be there. There is an hourly courtesy bus from Strandhill carpark (1-7pm).

An award-winning theatre company bring their production of the play, Scaramouche Jones to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Wednesday the 20th of June as part of a limited nationwide run. UK company, White Cobra’s production of this one-man play by Justin Butcher has received wonderful reviews from theatre critics. 8pm.
This exhibition in The Model presents an intimate look at the Yeats Family through the portraits of John Butler Yeats and a selection of other artists. Includes newly added work from the recent Sotheby’s sale. A fascinating insight into this extraordinary family.
Sligo-based acclaimed artist Lorna Watkins opens her first solo show in her adopted hometown on Tuesday, June 26th in the Hyde Bridge Gallery. Lorna uses the rugged beauty of North Sligo as her inspiration. Heartfelt opens at 5:30pm with special guest Steve Wickham. Runs until July 16th as part of the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival.
IRISH AIRMAN FORESEES HIS DEATH
To mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of 1st World War Hamilton Gallery has chosen W B Yeats poem ‘An Irish Airman Foresees His Death’ as the catalyst for its Invited Artists Exhibition 2018. The poem addresses the dichotomy that existed and still exists around the Irish response to The Great War 1914 -1918.
