Workshops to help visitors enjoy Sligo

Fáilte Ireland workshops aimed at making it a better experience for visitors when the come to Sligo have taken place. The KNOW SLIGO Local Experts Programme initiative was attended by some 150 people involved in the tourism sector and the local community and who welcome and engage with visitors to Sligo.

The programme saw a number of interactiv­e workshops on what to see and do in Sligo at the Radisson Blu Hotel. At the core of the programme is a network of local people who came together to share local knowledge to help visitors make the most of their visit to Sligo. The programme also featured a number of annual events, social media initiative­s, a Visitor Attraction­s pass and the developmen­t of a tourism business network.

Aoife McElroy, Visitor Engagement, with Fáilte Ireland said that those attending came from a diverse range of tourism businesses who all want to provide visitors with the best experience of Sligo, its attraction­s and people.
