ENNISCRONE/KILGLASS GAA

A late Shane Hargadon goal salvaged a 1-12 to 0-15 draw for our intermediate team against old rivals Easkey in a competitive Benson Cup clash at Quigabar last Sunday. A point down at the break having played into the wind in the opening half, our lads will be disappointed not to have kicked on in the second period. Prior to throw-in a minute’s silence was observed in memory of former club player and executive member Gerry Gilroy RIP Next Sunday at 1 p.m. the lads have their final group game against Castleconnor in Corballa.

Continued good luck to all club players currently sitting state examinations.

A depleted under-14 team was beaten by Geevagh/St Michael’s last Thursday, 6-9 to 1-9, meaning they now enter the shield competition.

Our under-12s return to action on Tuesday evening at home to Curry from 7 p.m.

Our under-10s had a very enjoyable outing at Calry/St Joseph’s GAA Club on Saturday morning where they finished second in a blitz competition. Most encouraging however the team was’s success in the skills competition which illustrates the excellent work being carried out at this age group. Well done to all and thanks to the Calry/St Joseph’s club for their hospitality.

Well done to the Enniscrone-Kilglass Mothers and Others squad and their coach Paul on their excellent performance at the Connacht Blitz at the GAA Centre in Ballyhaunis on Saturday last. Continued success to all the group.

Best wishes to Michael Duffy, Gavin Duffy, Dara Rouse, Adam Mullaney and all the Sligo minors when they resume their championship campaign against Mayo next Saturday. Good luck also to the Sligo senior hurlers in the Lory Meagher Cup final and to the Sligo senior footballers versus Armagh in the all-Ireland qualifiers.

Last week’s blotto draw was postponed due to the sudden passing of Gerry Gilroy. Please note that the blotto draw now takes place every Sunday night, switching from its traditional Saturday slot.

We meet regularly throughout Spring and summer Monday evenings 7 p.m. and post all updates on our Facebook page: facebook.com/Enniscrone-Tidy Towns-53395027 0035805/
