PARK FEST
Sligo’s annual giant garden party - Park Fest - is, without doubt, one of the most anticipated highlights of the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival each year. Taking place on Sunday July 8th from 12 noon to 6pm, Park Fest is a day-long free celebration for all the family in the beautiful surrounds of the walled garden of Sligo’s Peace Park featuring music, theatre, circus, art, craft and science workshops, along with global food stalls to keep bellies full all day long.

On Thursday the 5th of July, Sheridan, Kate Gavin and Conor McDonagh will perform together in the Hawk’s Well Theatre foyer as part the theatre’s new summer series of traditional music sessions called Trad@lunch. Trad@lunch is the Hawk’s Well Theatre’s new summer series of traditional music sessions taking place in the theatre foyer at lunchtime between 1.10 and 1.50pm.

GARY FERGUSON CONCERT
Rock School begins at The Glens Centre from today (Tuesday) until Saturday. Open to young people from 10 to 18, this hugely successful music school will take place from 10am- 4pm each day. The Directors of The Model warmly invite you to the official launch of the Yeats; Portrait of a Family exhibition on Friday 6 July at 3 pm with Minister Josepha Madigan. An intimate look at the Yeats Family through the portraits of John Butler Yeats and a selection of other artists.
The Ross McCarrick Memorial Cup takes place at The Showgrounds on Saturday July 7th in memory of 15-year-old Ross, who passed away tragically in June. All proceeds of this event will go to Our Lady of Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin, where Ross spent most of his time while ill.
Moy River Folk Club at Moy River B&B will host their latest House Concert on Friday 6th July next. The artist this time round is singer, songwriter, Gary Ferguson. Ferguson from the United States and Colin Henry from Northern Ireland reunite for this July 2018 tour of Ireland, with very special guest, James Henry (Colin’s son) on banjo. This latest concert starts at 8pm on Friday 6th July and booking is essential on 087 2512030.
