RURAL SOCIAL SCHEME

The Rural Social Scheme is looking to fill a vacancy in the Ballinacar­row area.

The scheme is open to low income farmers, fishermen or their family members who are in receipt of a social welfare payment. Participan­ts work 19.5 hours per week in the community carrying out various tasks.

BOIL WATER NOTICE

A Boil Water Notice is still in place in the Ballinacar­row and surroundin­g areas till further notice, this is due to the detection of Cryptospor­idium in the Lough Talt Regional Water Supply Scheme. This has been ongoing since February.

TUBBERCURR­Y ACCESS BUS

The Tubbercurr­y Access bus travels to and from Sligo every Wednesday, travelling through Ballinacar­row and Coolaney. It picks up and drops you off and your residence. To book your place on the bus call Eileen at 071 9185614. It arrives in Tesco car park at approximat­ely 11 a.m.

OWENMORE GAELS

The Owenmore Gaels lotto stands at €9,500. There were two winners of the match-three numbers, Ita Jackson and Vivenne Hennessy, who each win €50, congratula­tions and keep playing to win the big money.

Congratula­tions to Owenmore Gaels Ladies on winning the Division 3 League Title in Kilcoyne Park last Sunday in a thrilling encounter against Shamrock Gaels on a scoreline of 18 points to 3-7.

CEMETERY MASS

The annual cemetery Mass will take place in Kilvarnet Cemetery on Wednesday, August 1, at 8 p.m. and in St Nathy’s, cemetery, Collooney, on Friday, August 3, at 8 p.m.

CHURCH RENOVATION

SUMMER CAMP 2 - Arts/crafts/ nature Camp (change of dates to those previously advertised)Led by 12th Ballintril­lick Sligo Scouts leaders for 6 - 12 yr olds. This Camp will now run from Monday, 20th August - Wednesday, 22nd August 2018 from 10am - 2pm daily. Activities at Camp will include arts and crafts, nature projects and outdoor cooking.
