TOP COMEDIAN DARA Ó BRIAIN WILL HEADLINE SLIGO LIVE 2018
It has just been revealed that stand up comedian and TV presenter Dara Ó Briain will kick off this year’s Folk, Roots and Indie Festival, Sligo Live.
Festival Organiser Rory O’Connor said: “Dara is one of the most recognisable faces on Irish and British TV as well as the host of the hugely successful Mock The Week.
“We are thrilled to announce him as part of our extensive line-up and look forward to welcoming him to Sligo.”
The Irish comedian will perform at Knocknarea Arena on Thursday 25 th October 2018.
Sligo Live is now in its 14 th year and is a highlight on the annual festival calendar for the North West.
Other acts confirmed for the Knocknarea Arena include The Bootleg Beatles who will take to the stage on Sunday 28th October and Síomha for Friday 26 t October.
Artists announced so far include Saint Sister who will perform at the Hawk’s Well Theater on Saturday, 27 th October and Hudson Taylor who will perform at The Festival Club upstairs in Andersons on Sunday, 28thOctober.
The Bootleg Beatles are the world’s premiere Beatles Band. They continue to draw critical acclaim from across the globe with their stunning recreation of the greatest songbook of all time. Tracing the Fab Four’s journey through the swinging 60s, every tiny detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments; from their witty “Scouse” banter to their “inflection perfect” vocals.
