Danny Andrews Clarification

IN The Sligo Champion of 5 June, we reported from Sligo Circuit Court where Michael Andrews (74) was convicted after not intervening as his son, Harry Andrews (then 18) assaulted a 16-year-old boy.

We published a photograph which we mistakenly captioned “Michael Andrews (74) with his son Harry (19)” but the son in the photograph was not Harry Andrews but Danny Andrews.

We confirm that there is no suggestion that Danny Andrews had any involvement whatsoever in the incident and we apologise to him for the mistake.
