‘Knows it’s his last chance’

A 24-year-old man facing a number of charges has had his case adjourned for five months to allow him undergo in-house treatment for an alcohol problem. Jake Duncan 5 Seaview Park, Sea Road is charged with stealing vodka valued €19.50 from Mace, Holborn Street on April 21st last and with being intoxicated at Temple Street on March 30 th and with failing to comply with the direction of a Garda on March 26 th. Judge Kilrane adjourned the matter following a probation officer recommendation to September 6 th. “He knows it’s his last chance,” said Mr Tom MacSharry, solicitor (defending).
